Immigrant Ancestors Project

in Databases, Record Indexing, Research Projects

The Immigrant Ancestors Project is a run from The Center For Family History and Genealogy and is based at Brigham Young University in Provo Utah, USA.

It is making great progress and many records are being extracted on this FREE searchable database.

There are numerous “sections” viz. British, Spanish, Portuguese, German, French, Italian and Dutch.

The records are all emigration records from these countries and colonies and are extracted and verified by worldwide volunteers and students at BYU and overseen by faculty.

Keep an eye out as British emigrants to South Africa will be available hopefully by the end of the year.

They also produce a newsletter every month that can be found >>> here <<<
