Church Records and FHL

in Church Records, Libraries

I will also at some point write a post on South African church records, but just be aware that these can be searched. I know that the South African Genealogical Insititute has a collections of microfilms available to search for a daily, monthly or yearly fee. Alternatively you can find Family History Center in your area. These are run by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and you can order ANY microfilm from the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, Utah. The Family History Library holds the largest collection of microfilms, microfiche and other genealogical records in the WORLD and is visited by an average or 1,900 people a DAY!!!
